I've been building things my whole life.
Building has been the constant in my life. Lego sets as a kid, Halo 3 maps as a teenager, Runescape bots in highschool, and now ten years deep into a software engineering career. The medium keeps changing but the drive to build things does not. Collecting fills the other side of my brain. ZAAR is what came out when the two finally had a reason to collide.
I got tired of managing deals across DMs with no paper trail and no way to build a reputation that actually traveled, so I built the tool I actually wanted to use. No VC money. No marketplace cut. A small team of fellow collectors helped shape it along the way.
